Well I had my second treatment yesterday and it all went un-eventful (which is a good thing!). The nurses there are absolutely wonderful and I can't say enough about them...they make you feel so comfortable. Last night I was exhausted and layed in bed once I got home. I didn't feel well at all so just taking it easy was on my agenda. Dylan and I snuggled and watched Gilmore Girls....sure way to feel better! =) I feel much better this morning so will take the day as it comes as I don't feel 100%.
Thank you so much to Uncle Gary and Aunt Diane for arranging a meal to be delivered yesterday from Penokee Mountain Deli. Delivery Man Dale did such a fine job!! Your thoughtfulness and inspiring emails are so wonderful. Wish you were closer so we can give you big hugs!! Love you.
Good to hear you're being well taken care of.

Hi Miranda. Sounds like things went well, that's good. Sorry you have to get sick along with it, but you know it will be worth it when you get rid of it and have a clean bill of health again. Thinking about you lots and hoping you feel better real soon!
ReplyDeleteLove ya,
Heidi
Just to let you know that we are all thinking of you!!
ReplyDeleteThere is a gal that I work with at the Washburn school and her husband just went through the same thing that you are going through. After his treatments he is now cancer free. This gal is a real hoot and said that if you ever need to talk or have questions about anything that you could give her a call. She will surely cheer you up if you are feeling down. If you would ever like to have her name and number just let me know. She would be real easy to talk to and would love if it if you talked to her.

Hey Miranda,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear your treatment went well. I'm hoping that by today you are feeling much better and can enjoy your weekend with the family. I'm thinking about you and wishing I lived closer to lend a hand. Let me know if you need anything. Love you all, Aunt Sue
Miss M,
ReplyDeleteGrateful that two treatments are already behind you. Thankful that you have such wonderful nurses taking care of you there. Thinking of you and sending extra squeezes your way. Love ya lots, T.G.
Miranda,
ReplyDeleteGlad to know someone is bringing you a meal. When i went through it, I had lots of meals brought, and people dont realize how much that HELPS! We got lots of desserts, some people do not realize that sugar feeds cancer, so i mostly left those alone. I really appreciated the things that didn't spoil quickly, so I could freeze or refrigerate left-overs. Sometimes the taste buds are affected, so things taste different or can't tolerate certain types, such as spicy. hopefully you will be able to eat well, and accept all the help people offer, ok?
