This treatment this week marks the half way mark for me. For some reason this week has been an emotional week for me. I had a very hard time walking into the infusion center this week and had a very emotional time while I was there. I did get through it ok with Jason by my side. He has been such an amazing rock for me to lean on in these difficult times. He constantly brings me amazing gifts and letters that boost my spirits!
Thank you again to everyone for sending positive energy and prayers my way. I'm very exhausted this week, but not feeling too bad. Going to try to get as much rest in so I can be 'back to myself' for the upcoming long weekend.
You're entitled to your emotions... you and Jason will work through them together- that's the beauty of your marriage. Samuel says "Miranda, I'm coming to get your bear, bear." with a 3 year olds twinkle in his eye :-)
ReplyDeleteMiranda - you are such a strong woman. I know that you will fight this and beat it! You and Jason both are amazing and are in our prayers always. I'm so glad that you have that great "rock" to lean on. Just remember, you always have your great family to lean on too!! Take care, get some deserving rest and we'll see you this weekend.

ReplyDeleteSorry I haven't posted for a while. It has been kind of a crazy past week as you know. I want to thank you guys for the nice card and thinking of us when you are going through so much of your own stuff already. It is nice to know we have such great friends!! I am sad to hear you are having such an emotional week Miranda. Stay strong, upbeat and positive, cuz you are beating this. We are sending prayers and hugs your way.
I love Jason's new toy, I bet Dylan is in 7th heaven! My kids will be so jealous when they see it. I hope you start to feel better so you can enjoy the long weekend with family and friends.
Take care and talk to you soon and maybe we will see you over the weekend. Lots of prayers for you and your family.
Love, Danny, Tracey, Keyan and Davin
What can I say? I know it is getting harder for all of you and I feel helpless but overall, I think you guys are responding very naturally to all this stuff! It takes a lot to get through it and I know you will. I wish it was over! Love you guys more then you know and I, too, am just a phone call away! Granny
ReplyDeleteWe are really bummed too you are feeling this way. It just should not be. Focus on the positive that has become of this so far and now you are over the halfway chemo hump. It is probably feeling really "old", but it is what God has entrusted the doctors to treat you with so you can get on with life and this hurdle that may not be so easy to jump over sometimes. Get some well deserved rest you strong woman. You have such great family and friend support to help you through this. You would do the same for them I know. Take care, and have a great weekend. ReplyDeleteHalfway is good.....that means it's all downhill from here and soon you'll be able to see the end. Then you'll be able to put all this behind you!! You're doing great and it's ok to have an emotional week. I think it's to be expected. Enjoy your weekend with the family!
ReplyDeleteLove you,
Melanie
Hi Miranda: Talking to your Dad on the phone after work and reading to him from your blog. Haven't written for a while now but am keeping up with things through your Dad. I know it is a long rough road but at least now you can start counting DOWN which is a positive step in the right direction. It will be over soon and looking forward to celebrating that day with you! Hang in there, we love you. Dad, Laura, Gracie and Ellie.
ReplyDeleteHey Miranda,
ReplyDeleteWhat a miracle to have a wonderful husband! It makes life so much easier. Sometime check out the Bernie Siegel, MD (a oncologist surgeon) website...you might be interested in reading one of his books. I read his book Peace, love, and healing and it was fantastic. It has a lot of great tips for healing. Keep being strong and focus on all the love around you. Sounds like you are doing a great job. Keep believing in yourself.
Jillene
Love you both, XOXOX
