The "P's" of the Fourth of July

This year we had so much fun taking our traditions and putting them into a game called the "P's" of the Fourth of July. For every family tradition that we do each year we tried to come up with a word that started with P...it was a lot more fun than we thought it would be. Here are our P's of our Fourth of July!

Pond resident contest - Dylan and Hayden participated in the annual frog jump contest in Mellen. Dylan came in 3rd place this year - great job Dylan!














Pancakes at the Catholic Church

Kiddie Parade - Dylan pushed Hayden in the kiddie parade this year and felt like such a big brother doing so. And to top it off, they each got a prize for participating. Great job boys!














Money Pit scramble - here Dylan searched for money in the sawdust pile. He found a good chunk of change to use to play games!

Post office visit to buy the Edgar Sawtelle stamp
Pick a duck game and Prizes won while playing the kiddie games - Hayden LOVED the pick a duck game, including playing in the water...

For a small town, Mellen sure has an amazing 4th of July celebration. We enjoyed the day so much with our families and hope to keep the "P" traditions alive for many years to come.
