"Jag a wood"

I remember when I was a little girl, my parents would pack us kids up along with a picnic and head out to where my dad was logging at the moment. We would ALWAYS complain about going, but once we got there, my parents had to practically drag us to the truck to bring us home. I have very fond memories being out in the woods with my family - the smell of the sawdust on my dad, rides in the skidder, and my brother and I finding salamandars.

Today Jason and I took the boys out to my dad's job to get a 'jag of wood' for our woodstove. We bundled them up and brought hotdogs to grill. I am so glad to be able to share these fun times with my kids and look forward to doing this for many years to come. Thanks PaPa for the rides!

  2. The best memories we tend to hold most dear are from doing some of the simplest things. So glad your boys got a taste of that memory today with many many more yet to be made!
