It's Come Full Circle

On February 23, 2009 I was in Duluth in the surgery room having my very first surgery that diagnosed me... February 23, 2010 marks the day that I had my last radiation treatment and by the grace of God, my last treatment forever. We never know what our fate is, but we need to take each journey step by step. This has just been another journey that I have completed and am proud to say with some amazing family and friends by my side.

This morning was so full of emotions and anticipation. Jason and I and the boys headed to the clinic for my final radiation treatment. In the waiting room they have a bell that people ring after their last treatment and I was anticipating my turn to "ring out".

When I walked into the waiting room after my treatment (to ring the bell), I was so excited to see that I had a cheering section! Jason, Dylan, Hayden, Donna, Nicki, Terry, Andie, and Sam....they were all there to watch me ring myself out and then they gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates! Words will never be able to truly express how awesome it felt to have so many that I love there with me! This journey has given me so many blessings and some friends that I will have for a lifetime!

Ring this bell
Three times well
The toll to clearly say
My treatments are done
Its course has run
And I am on my way

  15. The quote you have at the side of your blog is so true! Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... It's about learning to dance in the rain.
Oh how we forget how to live sometimes when things go our way. It truly is those hard challenges and trials that make us better people if we can allow God to work through us! And God shines right through you Miranda!
    Keep on shining! :)
