Angels in disguise
My friend Melanie's daughter Mikayla has been patiently waiting to donate her hair to locks of love. Well, today was the day and she donated in my honor. What a sweet, sweet young lady with an amazing big heart and spirit. She wanted to personally give me her hair, but her mom convinced her that she could do it in my honor....my heart is so full of happiness and joy because of the unselfishness she showed today. Thank you so much pretty girl for giving something so meaningful to people that are so sick and fighting for their life! You truly are an inspiration!

ReplyDeleteGrace and I read this blog and both of us are so moved, I had tears running down my face! Grace always wanted long hair but I think she was inspired by Mikayla... she spent the next 30 mins asking many questions about your cancer and why the little girl would cut her hair... in the end she said-- that was so incredibly nice of her, and wants to know if someone needs her hair! It brought tears to my eyes again. What a great post and what an amazing girl Mikayla is! :)
ReplyDeleteI do have one amazing little daughter! Being so far away it's sometimes hard to help with the everyday things that the family might need so this was our (her) little way of trying to contribute something. And she LOVES her new hair. :) Love ya Miranda!
