Relay For LIFE in Superior

It was truly an honor for me to speak at the Relay for Life at UWS this past Friday. Having never been to a Relay before, this was so exciting for me.  I am continually amazed at how many people are affected by this disease, and how many wonderful people there are in the world to take time to participate in an event like this.

It was truly a heartwarming experience to tell everyone my story and then to walk the first lap with the other survivors to open up the event.  I think the part that made me the most choked up was when I was coming in from the first lap and Hayden ran to me and grabbed my hand and walked the rest of the way with me.  I am so blessed.

I would also like to thank the Stricker 'girls' for their continued support and for the beautiful luminaries they made in my honor.  You girls work so hard for this event, and I hope you know that your dad would be SO proud of you!!!
