Celebrate~Remember~Fight Back

This year I was honored to speak at the Relay for Life in Ashland.  I was asked to give the "Celebrate" speech at the Luminary Ceremony.  If you haven't been to a Relay before, I highly recommend you go sometime!  It is so wonderful to be there and see how many people are there to support and fight for the same cause.  Cancer sucks...there is no doubt about it, but with these Relay's we are able to keep trying to find a cure for this horrible disease.

I think the most memorable part of my evening were the laps that I walked with Jason and my boys.  We have been through so very much together and this fight against my cancer has been OUR fight...having them there by my side was a true honor.

Survivor lap that opened the Relay led by our honored military

Finishing the survivor lap - seeing the smiles on the faces of my family was priceless!

Julie and I - SURVIVORS!!

A luminary from my awesome mother in law - LOVE you Gwen!!

Here is the Luminary that Dylan made in Honor of his Grandpa Marv...at the bottom he drew a donut and coffee cup (a couple of Grandpa's favorite things)

Jason, Hayden, and I walking another lap.....

Hayden enjoying a treat of cotton candy and wanting to share with Granny

Hayden and I looking at the Luminaries...very humbling experience to see them all...

Me giving my speech!!
