My physician worked her magic this morning and got us an appointment with Dr. Niedringhaus at the Cancer Center in Ashland for today! We met and got to know him, went over my file, treatment, and all the other fun stuff. He is a very cool doc! We 'clicked' with him immediately and he gave us a tremendous amount of hope and encouragement. He is on board with us and said "we need to get this knocked out of you" so he scheduled me to get my first treatment TOMORROW!

I started poking around today at the thought of buying a wig..it's been fun to see all of the different styles etc... going to wait and see what kind of wife Jason would like for these next few months (hee hee). My dear friend Sarah is hooking me up with some cool scarfs that she will be making me...sewing is 'therapy' for her so we are getting a 'two for one' deal with that! My hair will be due to be gone two and a half weeks from tomorrow so watch out...the Lawver's are all going to have bald heads!

  2. Seems like everything is falling into place for your treatments. I am glad to see Doctors collaborating for the best benefit of their patient, especially when that pt. is you. You are giving others hope and strength to get through whatever they are going through by watching you take this head on, including me. Not every day will be easy, but we'll thank GOD for that day too. We are always here for anything you need. Take Care and Good luck tomorrow!!!!!

  3. Seriously, two weeks? You need to watch those episodes of Sex and the City where Samantha shaves her head, and Smith does it too. Then, maybe pick out an awesome hot pink wig just for kicks! I'd be all about experimenting.

In all seriousness, I am so happy that you have found doctors you like and have a plan in place. The sooner the better.

    Good luck!

I say get a few wigs . . . you could be someone different all the time! Or scarves, scarves are good. You will look beautiful no matter what!
