Since the very beginning of my diagnosis in February of this year, I have felt a deeper connection to this community. I have lived here my whole entire life, but not until now did I actually realize how much I appreciated living here and growing up here.
The Mellen community and the surrounding areas have shown me and my family kindness, patience, love, and support on so many levels during this fight we are fighting, and I want to express the most sincere thank you to each and everyone of you. Without all of you, this journey that I am traveling and the fight that I am fighting would be so much more difficult. You have reminded me that strength in numbers is what wins the fight and I am bound and determine to win this fight!
I want to send out a special thank you to my family, who has been there for us through thick and thin. We have been through some difficult times but we have gotten through them together, and I am so proud of that. Thank you!
Lastly, I want to thank my rock and foundation, Jason. He is the most amazing husband and father and has done everything in his power to make this journey more bearable for our whole family. Without Jason I would not be half the person I am today and I am so proud to be his wife. I love you honey!

Let me be the first to say I am extremely proud of both you and Jason and I love you to the moon and back. I am so thankful to be able to be here for you guys and my babies! Anything I can do to make it easier, I'll be there. If the boys are in their routine and relatively comfortable in their world in spite of everything that is going on, I know that makes you guys (and me) more comfortable. God is good, He is with us all the way!! I'd much rather this be me than you, Miranda, but I can't change it so I do the next best thing I know how! Granny
