Today is what we are calling day minus 1...this is the day before the transplant. I just received my LAST infusion of chemo (forever!!). My platelets are a bit low today and they want to give me a small blood transfusion to boost those before the big day tomorrow so I will be getting that this morning also. If all goes as planned, I should be able to leave on pass around noonish and then be off the rest of the day and evening. I do have to come back to the hospital to stay tonight but I don't have any treatments tonight!!!
I will begin getting fluid tomorrow a.m. at around 5:00 a.m. and get those for four hours before they give me my little babies back. Getting the stem cells shouldn't take all that long but then they need to monitor me very closely after that and give me fluids for four more hours after that. I will have a full day in the hospital tomorrow with everyone keeping a close eye on me.
I'm getting pretty nervous about tomorrow as that will bring a new batch of challenges, but I'm getting one step closer to getting a clean bill of health and getting home. Love and hugs to all of you.
We will be sending EXTRA, EXTRA good thoughts and prayers then if that is what you need! Maybe you better open a few presents tonight as well! We know you can do this!
ReplyDeletePrayers, Debbie
Good luck tomorrow Miranda,I will be thinking of you ALL day. Everything is going to go perfect for you, I just know it! Then you will get that clean bill of health so you can get back home and back to a "normal" life again. You and Jason enjoy your afternoon and evening off. Sending lots of hugs to you both.

Happy Birthday to you a day early! Don't fret about what is to come in the near future, instead rejoice about what is to come in the long term future. Easy for me to say, I know. There are so many prayers going up for you - I pray you find peace and comfort in knowing that and in turn make it easier to get through the next few weeks.
