Tapping on Mr. Maple's Door

This year we wanted to begin making maple syrup as a family and teach the boys how nature can provide yet another thing for us. Tonight we tapped the trees behind our house and enjoyed being together in this wonderful weather! We can't wait for the yummy syrup!!

    I have many great memories of collecting sap w/ my family at our shack. My cousins still make it every year, and Kyle LOVES to go to the shack to collect sap, watch it boil down, and of course we all enjoy homemade syrup year round. What a great tradition to start w/ your boys;-)
