Little People, Big Hearts

My dear friend Shellie's daughter, Mandi, was asked to design a new postage stamp in school, and this is what she designed.  When her mom sent this to me, I was sincerely very touched.  This little girl has such a big heart, and by nature is so kind and caring towards others, this design is a pure reflection of that.  If you can't read her note below, it says this "For my stamp I put a cancer symbol because my mom's friend had cancer and survived it. Also my godfather had cancer. But one day in June of 2011, he was not as lucky as my mom's friend, Miranda.  He died. Annika and I also collect yogurt lids to help cancer.  We have been doing it since we were little kids.  Fun Fact: Once the lids are mailed in, the lids turn into 10 cents for cancer money. That is why I put a cancer symbol."

Here's my Fun Fact: Never underestimate the courage, love, and hope young children that have been effected by cancer have!

Thank you so very much Mandi for supporting the cause to CURE CANCER - you are a true treasure!
