Daily Gifts

Before I came down here I received a huge bag of wrapped gifts that some friends and family put together to take down here with me. There are enough gifts for me to be able to open one per day I'm down here, and even maybe open a couple on my tough days.

It has been such a nice treat every night to grab a gift from the bag and see what goodie I was getting. When the boys were down here last weekend, I had Dylan be in charge of the gift opening and he had a ball...on the day he left he tells me "mama, I just had to open three to feel better"....of course that's what are they there for - my sweet boy!

Now since he knows about the bag of presents, we have opened a gift together via the webcam each night..it sure has been a fun thing to do together and getting the gifts has been so much fun. Thank you to everything that contributed to this awesome idea...it has brought many a smile to my face!

  5. Dear M, Glad to hear the gifts are helping to pass the days although it sounds like you are progressing so well that you will probably be home before the gifts are all opened. What great news to hear that so many of your stem cells were harvested.
Heidi and the boys leave on the 24th of Nov. What a change that will be. I am hibernating for a week once they are gone. Sure like you site. You are the greatest. Love, kr 2

  6. Mirands, I am so glad that things are going so well! I know that Sarah will keep me posted, but it is so great to have this blog to peek in on for "the scoop". I will continue to pray that all will go forward as planned and that you will continue to have the strength that you need. "Fight like a girl!" God's blessings to you and your family as you continue this trek.
